We believe the first priority of every church is to worship! Worship is that time when the scattered community comes together as the gathered community to praise, to learn, to remember all that God has done for us and to prepare for Christlike living in the week ahead..
What to Expect if You Are A Newcomer!
Casual dress, friendly people, a warm welcome, child care and Sunday School, wonderful music by our choir and preaching that relates to everyday life.
Children are Always Welcome!
We encourage children to come to worship with their parents. Following a special Children's Moment with the Pastor, the children are dismissed for Sunday School. (Except for the first Sunday of the month which is "Sit in Sunday" and children are encouraged to stay in church with their parents.
Holy Communion
On the first Sunday of each month we remember what Christ did for us by sharing in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. As a United Methodist Congregation all are invited and welcome to share in the Sacrament.
Looking beyond Sunday Morning!
Look beyond Sunday morning and you will find other opportunities to worship. As a congregation that celebrates the church seasons, we plan special worship services, Bible Studies and other events that help us remember and honor the life and ministry of Jesus. These may include:
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, Pentecost and Thanksgiving (Even though Thanksgiving is not a church holiday many churches observe it.)
Baptism
As a United Methodist congregation we believe the Sacrament of Baptism should be available to all God's people, so we baptize infants, children, youth and adults. Baptisms are normally part of the morning worship service and our normal method of baptism is by sprinkling but pouring or immersion may be arranged.
We also recognize the gift of every person's baptism, so it is not necessary to be "rebaptized" to become a member of Creighton. However, upon request we are delighted to "renew" a persons baptism!
If you are interested in knowing more or would like to arrange for a Baptism contact the Pastor.
